Guidelines for Coming to a Yoga Class


Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move in all directions.

Try not to eat right before class. Perhaps have a snack with you for after class. Bring a water bottle as well.

Remember that yoga class is your time to listen to your body, so it is ok to rest in a class, regardless of the class level. The opposite also applies; you may find yourself exerting more energy some days. A well-guided yoga class should allow you these graces.

‘If you can breathe, you can do yoga.’ If you are new to yoga give yourself time for all the pieces of the puzzle to come together. You do not have to get everything all at once.

Please take responsibility for your own health. Check in with your doctor and or physiotherapist (etc.) about your yoga and health.

Listen to your body.
